LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – A place where a 12-year-old plays and lays her head you would never imagine it being riddled with bullet holes.

“It was past 9, I was waiting for a lady and I heard da da da da,” said the homeowner.

Not one, not two, but several bullet holes inside the home on the corner of blue ridge and Lin Wall Road in Lexington.

“I thought someone was knocking on the door and I said geez that person is rude,” said the homeowner.

The homeowner did not want to go on camera or reveal her name… But she says she heard pops and then suddenly realized bullets were coming into her home and flying through her house.

“I heard everything falling, glass so I laid down here flatly and I said run, hide and lay down,” said the homeowner.

The homeowner said her niece was actually sitting in this chair at the time of the shooting. Now behind this chair is a wall that has several bullet holes.

“They saw her feet there because of the hole so they tried to hit her but they missed her thank God. It went through the kitchen wall and then hit the window,” said the homeowner.

The homeowner said police told her the drive-by shooting at her home may have been linked to Tuesday’s shooting where Eric Boone, 42 was gunned down at an intersection in Lexington.

“The police said they think it had something to do with the killing on Meadow Lane and they heard that the killer lived in this neighborhood,” she said.

Right after the bullets hit her home a car wrecked nearby at Broadway and I-75. The woman said there may be a connection.

“Police said they got the guns but they are not sure if that is the one that they used here because there was a wreck there.”

In a statement, all Lexington police would say is it’s an ongoing investigation and they had no updates to report.
