RICHMOND, Ky. (FOX 56) – An inmate that had walked away from work release while incarcerated at the Madison County Detention Center is now back behind bars.

According to Kentucky State Police, 43-year-old Billy R. Lowe walked away from the Bluegrass Career and Development Center in Madison County, on July 31st.

Police report that Lowe was located Wednesday at 3:30 pm by The Kentucky State Police, Harlan Post in Knox County.

Lowe was serving a sentence for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st Offense, and is now expected to face additional charges.

Kentucky State Police are searching for an escaped inmate in Madison County.

Police said 43-year-old Billy Lowe, from Gray, walked away from the Bluegrass Career and Development Center on Sunday.

Lowe was serving a sentence for manufacturing methamphetamine. He is described as being a white male, 6 foot 1 inch tall, with brown hair and green eyes, and weighing 185 pounds.
