Jury finds Bass Webb guilty in second murder trial

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky.  – A jury has found Bass Webb guilty of murdering his girlfriend in 2003.

This is the second murder conviction for Webb. A jury found him guilty of the 2009 murder of Bryia Runiewicz in Harrison County.

His trial began in Montgomery County last week for the murder of another woman, Sabrina Vaughn. Vaughn died in 2003. Police found her body in Powell County in 2010.

Closing arguments began on Wednesday morning. By Wednesday afternoon, the case was in the hands of a jury. Deliberations began around 12:30. They revealed the verdict shortly after 4:00 p.m.

The jury recommended Webb receive a life sentence with the possibility of parole. He is already serving 50-years for Runiewicz’s murder.
