Kentucky holds off hot-shooting VMI for 92-82 win


    VMI hit a Rupp Arena record 19 threes Sunday night, but Reid Travis and PJ Washington combined for 41 points to lead No. 10 Kentucky to a 92-82 win.

    With the win, the Wildcats improve to 3-1 this season.

    Bubba Parham led the way for VMI with 35 points and finished 10-16 from distance. As a team, the Keydets shot 50 percent from three.

    The Wildcats shot 49 percent from the floor in the win and three Cats finished in double figures. Travis had 22, Washington had 19 and Quade Green poured in 17.

    Kentucky hosts Winthrop November 21 at 1 p.m.
