CYNTHIANA, Ky. (FOX 56) – Kentucky State Police have released the name of the state trooper shot six times during a January traffic stop.
Trooper Michael “Mike” Sanguigni was on patrol in Cynthiana and stopped LeeQuan Taylor for having a suspended driver’s license on Jan. 28.

Taylor is accused of opening fire on Sanguigni, who had serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Police arrested Taylor in Lexington later that night.
Taylor is charged with attempted murder of a police officer among other charges.
