KSP: Citizen stops police pursuit by ramming suspect's vehicle

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WDKY) - A man wanted in Scott County is now behind bars after a police chase.

It ended early Tuesday evening on Frankfort Pike.

Kentucky State Police say officers tried to pull over Michael Bishop for a traffic stop, but he led police on a chase.

Troopers say it ended when a citizen rammed their vehicle into Bishop's vehicle, causing a crash.

Bishop was wanted on a parole absconder charge.

He is now lodged in the Scott County Detention Center, but more charges could be pending.

Police tell FOX 56 a female passenger was in Bishop's vehicle, and she has unknown injuries.

The crash is still under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
