KSP: Man accused of threatening President Trump, Dakota Meyer spotted in Adair Co.

ADAIR COUNTY, Ky. (WDKY) - UPDATE: 8/9/19 11:30 p.m.

Kentucky State Police believe the man wanted for making threats against Kentucky war hero Dakotah Meyer and President Trump has been spotted in Adair County.

Police say Meyer's brother Timothy Gilliam arrived home Thursday night at 6:23 p.m. to a front door kicked in.

When troopers arrived on scene they discovered someone had stolen food out of the fridge and a green 2001 Grand Jeep Cherokee with a black hood out of a detached garage.

Gilliam showed police surveillance videos and it appears the suspect is Shawn Christy, the 27-year-old man Pennsylvania native who is wanted by the FBI after threatening the president and numerous others, including police officers.

The U.S. Marshall Service continues to lead the manhunt investigation. The burglary and stolen vehicle investigations are being led by Kentucky State Police.

Recently, Christy threatened Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer from Kentucky.

The FBI says the suspect’s pickup truck was found in the Portland community of Adair County near Meyer’s home.

Authorities say Christy stole the vehicle in West Virginia and drove it to Kentucky.

The search has been focused in Adair County after the car was found abandoned in the area.

Authorities say he may be clean shaven and appear different from before.

The search for Christy is being conducted by the Secret Service, FBI and US Marshals.
