LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – A gas station in Lexington wants to reimburse customers who may have overpaid at the pump Friday.

Earlier this afternoon, the Marathon Station off Clays Mill Road had unleaded gas listed on signs for $4.29 per gallon but the price on the pump was $5.29.

A customer reported this spike in gas prices to FOX 56, and we reached out and spoke with the manager who confirmed it was an error.

He said anyone who paid $5.29 can come back to the store with a receipt and they will be reimbursed for the $1 per gallon difference.
