LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Crews are investigating a house fire in Lexington.
The fire started just after 7 a.m. on Cochran Road, across from Christ the King.
Firefighters said there were a lot of flames coming from the second floor of the home when they arrived.
The bulk of the fire was quickly knocked down.
We’re told three people were inside the home when the fire broke out and all three were able to get out of the home safely.
A dog that was thought to be missing was later found and brought out of the home by firefighters. WDKY’s Jim Stratman saw a firefighter holding the dog that was wrapped up in towels.
Nobody was hurt and the fire is now under investigation.
Lexington police had the street blocked off while crews worked the scene.
