LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – City leaders in Lexington will talk trees with Kentucky Utilities.

Homeowners are concerned about the company cutting down too many trees instead of just trimming near power lines.

Some believe it will negatively impact property values in the city.

“We’re all a community together, and we’re grateful for the services and the power that we get. But, we need to work together and appreciate all the beautiful trees that Lexington has and the impact that they have, ” said Katherine Graham.

Kentucky Utilities officials said they’re using a new strategy to stop potential accidents.

The council is expected to hear from Kentucky Utilities at a work session Tuesday afternoon.
