Lexington man indicted on murder charge following deadly September wreck
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDKY) - A grand jury has indicted a Lexington man on a murder charge after a deadly September wreck where police say he was driving under the influence.
Dean Carson, 33, was previously charged with DUI and possession of a controlled substance following the crash, which killed 57-year-old John Rusnak. Carson only suffered minor injuries.
Police responded to the crash on New Circle Road near Woodhill Drive where investigators say Carson was traveling at a high rate of speed before colliding with Rusnak's vehicle.
Rusnak was pronounced dead at the scene.
Carson is scheduled to be arraigned 8:30 a.m. Friday.
