LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Worldwide, healthcare workers continue to play an important role. To help ease worker shortages, the Lexington Public Library is rolling out a take-home job fair specifically for healthcare workers.
Employers with open positions can submit a form to be included in the fair through July 8. Those looking for a job can stop by any Lexington Public Library branch to pick up information starting July 26. Organizers feel confident this program will work, considering the success they’ve had in the past.
“We have impact stories where patrons come back and tell us that they receive employment through the take-home job fair. We’ve had employers tell us that they have a good number and quality of applicants who say that they were referred to their positions from the take-home job fair from one of our staff members,” said Lexington Public Library director of education, Clarissa Thomas.
A traditional job fair for the healthcare sector is taking place Thursday morning at 10:30 at the Lexington library’s northside branch.
