Owners of Lexington’s Chevy Chase Inn are asking for help after a man tried to throw a table through the front window.

They said the man seen in these pictures threw both a table and chair at the window shattering the glass. The owners said the window will be expensive to replace so they’re hoping the public will continue to support one of Lexington’s oldest bars.

Despite the vandalism, the bar does plan to be open this week. A window was also broken out at the Beer Trappe, just a few doors down from Chevy Chase Inn.

“Lexington, we apologize that Chevy Chase Inn is not open in the middle of the night. With that being said, we appreciate anyone who loves their favorite dive bar so much that they would throw a table through the window because a night in CCI is truly that much fun!!!
