LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Charges continue to mount for the man police said assaulted a deputy during the funeral for a Lexington murder victim.

Now, Jonathan Wilkerson is the Crime Stoppers wanted person of the week.

Wilkerson was arrested days after allegedly punching a deputy trying to render aid to Joseph Richardson who was shot while attending Malcolm Long’s funeral.

The 34-year-old posted bond and was released from jail with an ankle monitor, but Crime Stoppers has learned, he’s since cut it off and is now on the run.

Since then, new warrants have been issued for first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault, in addition to possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, endangering the welfare of a minor and first-degree assault.

Wilkerson is considered dangerous. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anonymous information on his whereabouts. Call the tip line at 253-2020 or go online to p3tips.com.
