FRANKFORT, Ky. (WDKY) – A woman is dead after being stabbed in Frankfort.

Police say 39-year-old Clifton Sapp is facing a murder charge in the death of 56-year-old Robin S. Jones.

According to the State Journal, the stabbing happened outside the Access Soup Kitchen and Men’s Shelter on Second Street Tuesday morning.

Police say Jones worked there and Sapp frequented the shelter. Police told the paper Jones and Sapp knew each other but added it was not a close relationship.

Police do not know what led up to the stabbing.

An autopsy for Jones is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
