Manchester Water Dept. says water tanks are critically low
MANCHESTER, Ky. (WDKY)- Officials with Manchester Water Works in Clay County are asking the public to conserve water due to the water tanks being extremely low.
In a statement issued to the city, they say the recent drop in temperatures have caused water main breaks creating the supply of water in the department's water tanks to be "critically low."
They are now asking the public to conserve water. They ask that anyone that is leaving water running through the day to turn the water if possible.
They say crews are actively trying to fix the breaks and ask anybody experiencing a water main break to call City Hall at 598-3456.
