LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton officially filed to run for a second term.

In August, Gorton announced her plans to run for reelection.

She cited her calm, steady leadership through the historic challenges that slowed economic activity throughout the city.

She said her administration has brought hundreds of new jobs to Lexington including a new Amazon facility.

So far, she has two challengers: Councilman David Kloiber and former local NAACP Chairman Adrian Wallace.
