LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56/WKYT) – The Bob Brown House is expanding from 14 low-income rooms to 24 units.
The house opened in 1975 and provides independent living for adults with physical and developmental disabilities.
Up until today the house only had space for 14 residents, but now after years of work and funding from groups like Lexington’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
The Bob Brown House has now added 24 more units and will be known as Independence Homes.
The building will also feature a larger kitchen and living area for residents of both facilities.
