LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56/WKYT) – The name of the person killed in a crash in Lexington Sunday morning has been released.

Police tell us the single-vehicle crash happened a little after 6 a.m. at the intersection of Georgetown Road and Berea Road.

The coroner says 19-year-old Carter Himes died at the scene from blunt force injuries.

Police shut down part of Georgetown Road for several hours.
