LEXINGTON, Ky. - Lexington police make an arrest in a deadly Sunday night shooting.

Officers arrested Aramis Murray Monday. He's charged with murder.

The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday on Corral Street in the city's East End.

Police say there was an argument at a home which led to the shooting.

The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and later died. Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn identified the victim as Jason Lemer Smith, 30.

This is Lexington's eleventh homicide this year. This time last year there were just seven homicides in Lexington. 2017 ended up being a record year for homicides in the city, with a total of 28.
