RICHMOND, Ky. (FOX 56) – Police said the body of a missing Richmond man has been found.
Police said 33-year-old Matthew Cox was last seen around 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27. They said Cox’s girlfriend told them he was going shopping around that time and hadn’t been seen or heard from since.
According to police, Cox was found dead around 6 p.m. Monday in his vehicle in the Burnt Ridge Road area, just south of Berea near the Rockcastle County line.
A death investigation is now underway.
The coroner said it’s too soon to tell at this point if any foul play was involved in Cox’s death.
Richmond police are asking for the public’s help in locating Matthew Cox.
Police said Cox, 33, was last seen at around 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27., wearing a gray zip-up jacket, khakis or sweatpants, vans, and a toboggan.
He may be driving a red or maroon 2017 Toyota Camry.
