LONDON, Ky. (WDKY) – Laurel County authorities are alerting the public about a man receiving a large amount of fake $100 bills.

Deputies received a report from a London business owner about a package he received containing a large amount of fake $100 bills which are normally used as movie prop money. The amount of fake money exceeded more than $1 million.

Some of the differences between these $100 bills and authentic $100 bills include the wording “B2 Copy” on the front and the word “Speiman” in red letters on the back. The fake bills do not have fiber threads interwoven in the paper, and the bills don’t feel authentic.

If anyone comes into contact with similar bills, they are asked to contact the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
