Two teenage siblings were killed in a crash Saturday night in Lexington, the coroner’s office said.
The crash happened just before 7 p.m. Saturday on Athens Boonesboro Road near Blue Sky Parkway, when a driver crossed into the other lane and hit a second vehicle head-on, according to police.
The coroner identified the victims as Andrew Lee Smith, 19, and Hailey Nicole Smith, 16.
Autopsies are scheduled for Monday. Funeral arrangements have not been finalized.
Police say the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
