Ethnic Flavors – According to Innova Market Insights, the desire for ethnic flavors has increased this past year and is expected to grow even more in the public eye for 2019. Authentic cuisines from around the world are growing in demand, and Mediterranean flavors, specifically, increased in 2018 by 14 percent.

* Organic and Small Batch – The desire for foods that match our ethical standards have only grown in 2018 and will continue to grow in 2019, as predicted by Innova Market Insights.

o Foods that are crafted and made in small batches have grown in their category by 41 percent in the past several years.

* Plant Based – Consumers around the nation are increasing their consumption of plant based foods and embracing the plant based diet.

o According to Innova Market Insight, 44 percent of consumers have increased their consumption of meat alternatives or substitutions over the past year.

o Health conscious and environmentally conscious consumers are starting to turn to a more plant based diet as a lifestyle.
