More Tales, Wilmore Storytelling Festival

Get ready for fall with a fun family-filled weekend at the Wilmore Storytelling Festival.

More Tales, Wilmore Storytelling Festival takes place on Friday October 6th and Saturday October 7th.

The event features arts and crafts, as well as stories from professional storytellers including Octavia Sexton, who grew up in Eastern Kentucky, and is a graduate from Berea who specializes in Appalachian tales. Amy Yeary Holmes, a graduate of Asbury Seminary who lives in East Tennessee. She tells folk tales, Bible stories, and personally crafted tales from her life and childhood. And Roy Lauter, a retired professor from Asbury University. He grew up in the mountains and as a preacher incorporates those tales into his service.

The event runs Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

It's being held at Wilmore Green 200 Rice Street in Wilmore, Ky.

Tickets cost $20.00 for students and $25.00 for individuals.

Families of 2 to 5 costs $45.00 +$10.00 for additional person after.
