The 21st Nathan’s Hope event will take place on Saturday August 17th at Keeneland.

This annual event is in memory of Nathan Matuszewicz who died at age eight 20 years ago of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension.

The goal of Nathan’s Hope is to raise awareness of the rare disease. The money raised will go to help others with PPH get medical attention they need at the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital.

Money raised also goes to the Nathan Matuszewicz Scholarship Fund at the University of Kentucky Animal and Food Sciences Department.

These scholarships help students who are devoted to working with animals.

The 5K begins at 9:00 a.m. from Keeneland Barn 2. Registration will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. The cost for registration varies by age: 5 & under free; 6-10 years $10.00; 11-15 years $15.00 16 years-Adult $20.00

During registration and the run/walk there will be a silent auction, raffle and activities for the children.
