Suspect in Charlottesville, Va. car-ramming identified as James Alex Fields, Jr.

Chief of Operations Gequetta Murray-Key with the Albermarle-Charlottesville County Regional Jail identified the suspect behind a car-ramming in Charlottesville, Virginia Saturday as James Alex Fields, Jr.

The incident left one dead and dozens injured during a protest of a white nationalist rally.

Fields, 20, is from Maumee, Ohio.

According to CNN, he could face charges of second-degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding and failing to stop at the scene of an accident that resulted in a death.

The car used in the attack is registered in Fields' name.
