AUBURN, Ala. (FOX 56) – Kentucky got a vintage Rhyne Howard game, including a fourth quarter explosion to lead the Wildcats to a 67-55 victory over Auburn on Tuesday night. Howard scored a game-high 29 points, including five three-pointers.

The win snapped a four-game losing skid for Kentucky (9-7, 2-4 SEC), who had only seven players in uniform. Jazmine Massengill was the only other Wildcat in double figures, with 11 points. Emma King, who stepped up for the Cats, scored a career-high eight points.

Auburn (8-10, 0-7 SEC) took the lead for the first time in the game briefly in the fourth quarter, but big plays from Jada Walker and Jazmine Massengill, coupled with closing buckets from Howard, were enough to reclaim, and hold on to the lead.

Kentucky continues their road stretch on Thursday when they head to Vanderbilt. Tipoff is set for 8:00 p.m., with the game airing on SEC Network Plus.
