LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDKY) - University of Kentucky head coach John Calipari says he is recovering in the hospital following a "minor surgery" Tuesday.

Calipari tweeted about his condition Wednesday morning, saying he will remain in the hospital for "a couple days." He also says he will miss weekend recruiting.

The tweet comes hours after the Commission on College Basketball proposed major changes to the sport, including ending the one-and-done rule, which many Kentucky players have utilized before heading to the NBA.

Calipari says he has not read the commission report. He told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram last week he supports high school basketball players to be allowed to enter the NBA straight out of high school.
