RICHMOND, Ky. (FOX 56) – After four unsuccessful attempts, the Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team picked up its first conference win by taking down Lipscomb, 86-72 on Tuesday night at McBrayer Arena.
The Colonels break a four game losing stream and make history by winning their first ASUN game since joining the conference this season. They improve to 9-10 on the season and 1-4 in conference play.
Tariq Balogun and Michael Moreno led the way on the box score with 16 points each, with Curt Lewis adding 14. Devontae Blanton recorded a double double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Braxton Beverly also notched a double double with 11 points and 13 assists.
EKU is back in action on Saturday evening, hosting North Florida back at McBrayer Arena in Alumni Coliseum.
