Kentucky State takes down Wilberforce in season opener on the hardwood

FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Kentucky State University men’s basketball team played its final exhibition game on Nov. 4, and had to wait nearly two weeks to play its season opener on Nov. 17.

The Thorobreds had no issues shaking off the rust on Wednesday, beating Wilberforce by a score of 106-77 in the William Exum Center on campus.

The Division II squad lost to D-I opponents in both exhibition games, falling to Louisville and Morehead State, both on the road.

Now 1-0 on the season, Kentucky State hits the road on Saturday to take on Tiffin University.
