WINCHESTER, Ky. (FOX 56) – Benny Snell was back in the place where his journey to the NFL took off on Monday.
The Pittsburgh Steelers running back and former Kentucky great hosted his annual youth football camp at George Rogers Clark High School.
More than 100 kids from young to teenager got to play some football with Snell, who has a little down time before he reports for Steelers training camp. To come back to the place he made a name for himself, coming back to give back is a no-brainer.
“Lexington’s home,” Snell told FOX 56 Sports. “This will forever be home for me, I’ll definitely always be around, trying to help out whether its with the community and the kids, and maybe in the future with the football team. It’s very important to me, and I’ve came a long way.”
Snell was supported by former UK teammates along with local coaches and student-athletes.
