MOREHEAD, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Morehead State men’s basketball team bounced back from two straight losses with a win against Alice Lloyd, 87-47 on Saturday at Johnson Arena.

Former OVC player of the week Johni Broome put together another strong game, putting up 12 points and 10 rebounds. Skyelar Potter led the team with 15 points and Tray Hollowell added 12, both knocking down four triple.

The Eagles knocked down 15 triples for the game, shooting 51.7 percent from the floor with a 65.5 percent mark in the second half.

Morehead State improves to 7-5 on the year, back in action on Dec. 21 against IUPUI.

The women’s team dropped a tough one to USC Upstate, 66-52 in the first half of the doubleheader. The game was tied at halftime but the Eagles were outscored 21-15 in the third quarter and 24-16 in the fourth.

The Eagles fall to 1-8 on the season, winless in December with the last win coming on Nov. 21 against Midway. They hope to break the losing streak on Sunday against Valparaiso.
