LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) – This week one might stop by at their local Kroger grocery store and see deals on produce or find a special on rotisserie chicken. This week, some Wildcats could be found in aisle nine.

John Calipari and the Kentucky men’s basketball team was over in Louisville on Tuesday with a long line of Big Blue Nation faithful waiting to get an autograph and chat with coach Cal and some Kentucky players.

Calipari is partnering with Kroger this week to setup five autograph signings at various store locations around the Commonwealth, with the first day in Louisville followed by London (Wednesday), Georgetown (Thursday), Somerset (Friday) and Morehead (Saturday).

“I want you to think about the people that lined up around this corner got to see Lance and Oscar and Adou and as we go forward there will be other players to wait in that line and then gave donations and I saw gas cards you know people care they know you know just by the grace of God that wasn’t us.

Oscar Tshiebwe, Lance Ware and Adou Thiero joined associate coach Orlando Antigua outside the store taking pictures with fans as they waited in line, with Tshiebwe garnering constant attention and picture requests.

“The summer’s been good we’re with each other been with each other all the time we’re getting better you see me knocking down 3s over there so everything is getting better I love this team I feel like we’re more stronger and physical than last year’s team,” Tshiebwe said.

The reigning national player of the year leads a Kentucky team progressing through summer practice, leading up to a Bahamas exhibition trip next month.
