LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – The No. 9 Kentucky softball team lost back-to-back games against Missouri on Saturday and Sunday to lose the series, and will look to avoid the sweep in Monday night’s game.

The Tigers hit the scoreboard first on a solo homerun in the top of the 2nd inning, but the Wildcats responded with an RBI single from Meeko Harrison to tie it and a two run homerun from Kayla Kowalik to take the 3-1 lead.

Missouri then scored two in the top of the 3rd to tie it back up and both teams went back and forth with the lead all game, until the Tigers took the lead for good with a run in the top of the 7th inning to swipe the road victory.

Kentucky will look to avoid the sweep in the series finale on Monday night at 7 p.m. at John Cropp Stadium.
