LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX 56) – Kentucky’s Saturday showdown against Ohio State in Las Vegas has been canceled, due to COVID-19 issues within the Ohio State program.

The 15th-ranked Buckeyes announced they would not be traveling to Las Vegas on Thursday afternoon. UK Athletics still intended to go to the CBS Sports Classic.

The other game in the showcase between UCLA and North Carolina was also canceled due to UCLA dealing with COVID issues.

A source tells FOX 56 Sports and UK has now confirmed they’ll play North Carolina at 5:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 18.

Kentucky (7-2) hasn’t played since their loss at Notre Dame on Dec. 11.
