LEXINGTON, Ky. – A Lexington apartment complex has extensive damage following a two-alarm fire.
It started Wednesday night on Hollow Creek Road.
Officials say they got the call around 9 p.m. Multiple people said they saw heavy smoke in the area, right off New Circle Road.
Firefighters battled flames from the roof of a third floor all the way down to the basement.
The fire spread through multiple units and caused significant damage.
Crews told FOX 56 that vagrants sometimes hang out in the buildings, so they did rush in to make sure no one was inside.
They say no one was inside, and no one was hurt.
Firefighters wanted to wait until daylight to go back and determine what caused the fire.
