LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – 2022 has gotten off to a soggy start in the Bluegrass.

A second wave of heavy rain and severe weather approaches expect increased flooding.

Areas that have been hit hardest with flooding are in southern Ky., including areas in Rockcastle Co. that have already seen over 4″ of rain.

Counties with flash flood warnings issued include Rockcastle, Breathitt, Floyd, Knott, and Perry. These flash flood warnings are in effect until 12:15 p.m.

Other flash flood warnings include Laurel, Pulaski, and Jackson counties.
