LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – The beautiful stretch of weather continues as we round out the weekend with more dry time and warmth on tap.

Enjoy the rain-free skies while you can, an unsettled pattern returns to the Commonwealth. Tonight, clear skies win out with dry conditions and pleasantly cool lows in the mid to upper 50s. 

Clouds start increasing through Monday as our next system takes aim at the region. Warm and muggy conditions prevail with highs back into the 80s.

Late day/overnight chances for showers and storms ramp up with some storms packing some heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning.  

Rounds of showers and storms hang around the forecast through Tuesday with widespread chances on the table. Scattered storm chances linger Wednesday with highs hanging tough in the low 80s. 

Thursday is a mainly dry day right now but the break from the rain does not last long. Our next system will bring another round of widespread rain on Friday and Saturday with cooler highs in the low 70s by this time next week.
