LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Today was another cold day for the Commonwealth with some snow, sleet, rain, wind, clouds and sunshine. Oh perhaps, more snow pellets, aka “graupel” as well.

Good news for those that like spring. Warmer air is on the way. But freeze and frost concerns will continue overnight tonight.

Clearing skies tonight.

When the air finally climbs back into the upper 60s to around 70 this next week, the chance for showers and storms will increase. More rain and storms by midweek could also mean strong to severe storms, so stay tuned.
The coldest night of the week will be tonight when temperatures fall to around 30 degrees.
