LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – For many, our winter storm is now in the snow phase.

While some communities may still see some mixing, many in central Kentucky, Lexington for example, can expect to see accumulating snow around 2 to 5 inches through tonight.

Tonight, look for snow showers and flurries to continue, lows around 23 degrees.

On Monday, look for a mostly cloudy day with leftover snow showers and flurries with a high near 30 degrees.

Monday night, look for partly cloudy skies and colder with a low around 18 degrees.

Tuesday should feature a blend of sun & clouds with a high around 40 degrees.

More rain showers are expected on Wednesday but could end as snow showers and flurries as the system exits.
Highs on Wednesday should reach the mid-40s.

It does turn sharply colder later this week with highs in the 20s and lows between 10° and 15°.
