LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Here’s what to expect for the start of the week.
After a rainy and soggy start to your Sunday, expect clearing skies tonight and turning frosty cold with morning lows in the middle teens. Due to standing water on some bridges, overpasses, parking lots, and sidewalks. Be careful in the morning, as this, too, could freeze and cause cars and people to slip.
Monday should feature bright sunshine to start, followed by some clouds later in the day. Highs on Monday should reach the lower to mid-30s. Temperatures will likely drop even further on Monday night and Tuesday morning with lows in the lower teens.
If you like full sunshiny days, you will love Tuesday, but it will still be very cold. Look for highs on Tuesday to reach the lower to mid-30s.
Winds are expected to turn breezy on Wednesday with gusts around 25 mph. Otherwise, expect mostly sunny skies on Wednesday with highs in the upper 40s, the warmest day of the week ahead.
Thursday should include overcast skies with the potential for some wet flakes and drizzle with highs in the lower 40s.
