Hazy and humid weather will persist this Independence Day weekend with occasional showers and storms.
Some of the storms on Saturday may be strong or even isolated severe, based on the analysis of the Storm Prediction Center.
Damaging wind with locally heavy rainfall in some isolated locations will be possible Saturday.
The chance of rain on both Saturday and Sunday is running around 60%.
Less rain, however, a 20% chance, is expected on the 4th of July, which is great news for those hoping to watch some local fireworks.
While still humid, the air on Sunday should be a few degrees cooler in the mid-80s.
