LEXINGTON Ky. (FOX 56) – Expect more clouds tonight with rain developing, especially late. The chance of rain is near 100%. Temperatures may dip into the 30s for part of the evening, but don’t be surprised to find readings 40 degrees or higher, as they rise, when you wake up on Sunday morning.

High temperatures on Sunday may struggle to reach the mid-40s, but then they will fall. It will be rainy on Sunday, mainly in the morning, but tapering off in the early part of the afternoon, around 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  Some areas may even see some mixing or additional snow flurries after that, but no extra accumulation is expected.

What about rainfall amounts?

Expect 0.75 to 1.25 inches of rain on average. Of course, locally higher amounts will be possible, with some areas in the Commonwealth getting closer to 1.50 inches.
