LEXINGTON, Ky (FOX 56) – Showers taper off this morning, but clouds linger and it will be chilly so take a coat. By late afternoon a few peeks of sun are possible.

If we don’t see any peeks of sun, high temperatures remain in the 40s. Wrap-around moisture could bring a few isolated showers later this evening, but most of the area stays dry.

Clouds decrease overnight and it’s going to be cold. If the wind can settle down enough, some patchy frost can’t be ruled out.

High pressure brings more sunshine on Tuesday, however, temperatures will still remain below average in the 50s.

A warming trend kicks in mid to late week bringing temperatures back to seasonal levels in the 60s. Next weekend looks warm with highs in the 70s and 80s.
