LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Repeated rounds of rain move across the state today, so keep an umbrella handy. The atmosphere is full of moisture for these showers and storms to tap into, which heightens the risk of flooding. For that reason, all of Kentucky is under a Flood Watch.

Today through Saturday a general 1-3 inches of rain is possible. If you live in a flood-prone area, please keep a close eye on water levels.

Showers and storms continue through the weekend, but they will become more scattered, especially on Sunday. Therefore, the weekend won’t be a total washout.

The unsettled weather pattern continues into next week. A cold front will work it’s way south Tuesday into Wednesday bringing even more rain.

This type of pattern is one to watch because there’s an increased risk for flooding. Stay with The Weather Authority for more details.
