LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – A very cold start to Tuesday, but sunshine and a southerly wind will warm temperatures into the mid to upper 30s for most of the area this afternoon.

The pick of the week will be Wednesday! Expect much milder air to move into Kentucky pushing highs in the mid to upper 40s under a mostly sunny sky. It will be a breezy day with gusts over 20mph.

A cold front pushes into the region on Thursday bringing a few rain or snow showers. Behind the front colder air returns with highs in the 30s on Friday.

We’re still keeping an eye on a clipper system for Saturday that will bring a chance for snow. The weekend looks cold with highs staying in the 30s.
