LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Pack the umbrella as showers and storms will move in this afternoon in advance of a cold front.

Some of the storms could be strong, but widespread weather is not expected. The greatest concern would be gusty winds.

Before the storms roll in, temperatures should peak out in the mid to upper 70s in central Kentucky and upper 70s and lower 80s in eastern Kentucky.

Showers end for most of us overnight, but a few showers could linger into eastern Kentucky early Tuesday morning.

Clouds decrease through the day Tuesday, but it will be much cooler with highs in the 50s and lower 60s.
