LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Scattered showers move through the state this morning as a warm front lifts north. With the increased humidity and some sunshine, scattered storms will re-develop this afternoon and evening.

There will be dry time and some sunshine that breaks out into the afternoon, which will boost temperatures into the low and mid-80s. The storms that pop up this afternoon/evening could be strong with gusty winds.

Showers and storms remain likely at times tonight. Outside of rain, it stays mild as lows drop into the mid to upper 60s.

A cold front moves into the region on Thursday with an increased chance for storms. It will overall be a wetter day.

Some of the storms on Thursday could be strong or severe with damaging wind gusts, some hail, and the potential for localized flooding.
