LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Clouds decrease this morning giving way to sunshine, which will help melt some of the snow. It will become breezy into the afternoon, but that southwest breeze will transport milder temperatures. Highs today will warm to near 40 degrees.

An Arctic front moves through the area on Wednesday bringing rain that will change to snow as the colder air rushes in during the evening and night. Light accumulations of 1-4 inches are possible across the FOX 56 coverage area. The greatest totals look to be near I-64 and points just south. Stay tuned as we will be fine-tuning the forecast.

It’s going to be a very cold end of the week with highs in the 20s Thursday and Friday.
